@Meixafuhellzman2 the only thing shitty is your pretty ignorant comment. The mere is highly valued in the Maori culture. A strike from a mere can destroy a persons rib cage causing death. these weapons can also remove skull cap. I dont get into flaming in youtube its far better to try educate :)

@bommer321 you probably havnt heard of the musket war then? tribe vs tribe? the maori had a significant period of time to adjust and adapt to the introduction of the gun. during the land wars the maori were very capable fighters and respected by there opponents they were also the first to sucessfully utilise modern trench warefare. Maori were never beaten outright in battle but more victims of white justice and greed.

@bommer321 Note the treaty was signed before the land wars. beaten every turn? Ohaeawai Pa, Rangiriri, Gate Pa are listed defeats for the british. the british were white I merely stated a fact. Maori never rewrote history the truth came out. btw I certainly dont have a chip on my shoulders and happily socialise and work along side pakeha as do most maori. to-date the crown has admitted breaches of the treaty resulting in $952,082,645 apx in settlements thus far. researchable facts and yours?
