  • I like pancakes.

  • ThunderCats and BTAS best cartoons of my youth.

  • @mrmacross LOL "stop signs? I don't agree with following that rule therefor they are just words"

  • In 8 seconds, Tygra just explained why traffic in my city sucks, vehicle and pedestrian alike.

  • @NeverDoubt1 Right again. The original group should have gone to New Thundera (despite the fact that the whole concept of New Thundera seemed ruidiculous to me at the time) because they were the original, the real Noble TCs... the others could have stayed at Third Earth because they weren't really ThunderCats.

He had some good moments in seasons 2 and 3 (season 2 not much, season 3 the most with Crystal Canyon); and they could have had more Tygra visits to NT, or more Tygra eps in Third Earth.

  • @jabuzcool Yeah but still there were a few good moments in Season 2 and 3. It's Season 4 that it really starts to get painful, lol. I think he's only in one episode. And it feels wrong, even if he's not your favorite character, because the original group looks incomplete.

  • @NeverDoubt1 Not too much into X-Men... liked the show, but never followed it as I should lol.

Back to Tygra, I hated it that he was the one left-out the most in seasons 2 & 3; it wouldn't have hurt anyone if, instead of him, it was Panthro or Cheetara the ones not appering / not speaking / having only 1 line in some eps. Tygra had so much potential, and he was addressed as the 2nd in command (the new Lord of the TCs), but then everything pointed as if it would have been Panthro... so unfair.

  • @jabuzcool Actually since he is so hesitant to use the mental powers, he almost comes across like the Jean Grey of the Thundercats, lol.

Also interesting how when Jason Striker from X-Men 2 projects illusions it seems like a very sinister concept. But when Tygra does it, you just think "Oh cool!" Lol

  • @NeverDoubt1 You're right. Tygra's eps were some of the best, not only the addiciton ones, but also Fireballs of Plundarr, Trouble with Time, All that Glitters (he breaks by mistake the Sword of Omens) and Out of Sight (you may notice all of tehm are from season 1, as they decided to give him a smaller role in season 2 to favor Panthro and the new lame TCs). It'd have been great to see him using his mental powers in another ep; sure the writers could have come with something great if they tried.

  • @jabuzcool What's interesting is that even though Tygra was played down, the episodes that did focus on him were some of the most intriguing and strange of the series, certainly the two "drug addiction" episodes. But it does seem that on kids shows, the more grown up characters take a back seat to the funnier and hipper ones like Panthro. Kind of like Mokey on Fraggle Rock, she almost never had her own toy in the stores! ;)
