Guitars never have souls, man.

It's all up to the player to instill `soul` into the music.

If you're trying to say that a handmade guitar has a better tone than factory made, 9 times out of 10 you're correct on that.

But there can be somebody playing a low end guitar and just jamming on it and playing soulful stuff.

Not only is it a cheap, factory made guitar, and it may not sound great, that doesn't mean that guy isn't playing with soul.
