At 1:50, I coulda sworn I saw to Guncannons fly back to the White Base. Design error or artistic license?

I believe this is the "movie" version as opposed to the "TV" version. I've not seen the movie version at all, so I'm not 100% on this.

@Vnewbie You are correct there was no error. To go hand in hand in hand with the Novel they replaced Hayato's shitty Guntank which was viewed as weak and not only not space capable but outclassed by mobile suits. So they gave him a Guncannon like Kai.

@Vnewbie It is Kai and Hayato flying back, in the movie they traded Hayato Guntank for a Guncannon. When they reached space.

Yeah, you're right, it's base on the movie version. In fact, Tomino considers the movie to be stronger canon than the TV-series.

@redeye117 When production slows down, you do what you can to fill the gap. Rick Doms were a stop-gap measure when Gelgoog production proved to be slower than expected. Still, the increased booster output on a Rick Dom outclassed a Zaku's maneuverability quite a bit, to the best of my knowledge.

Lol the Zeon was totally outmatch.. They are using Rick Dom in space.. they are nasty on earth due their speed and heavy armor..

In Space they are just a huge target.. and beam weapons slice though armor like hot knife though butter.

No wonder they lost the war.

@thebig32K7 Yes in the TV series version it was the Gundam, Guncannon and Guntank.. So eventually Gundam producer felt it was hell awkward that a Tank type MS is at Space.. So their revise version (The movie) replace it with another Guncannon.

@Vnewbie Yes, yes you did. That's because at that point in the series, the White Base carried two- Kai Shiden's C-108 and Hayato Kobayashi's C-109.

Also, this is still possibly the most awesome Gundam cut-scene (from the most awesome Gundam game).
