The Department of Human Development and Family Studies in the College of Education and Human Development prepares students for challenging careers with individuals and families through the lifespan. The Human Services major has concentrations in Clinical Services, Administration and Family Policy, Community Education, and Family and Consumer Sciences. Graduates become leaders in early education, family support, counseling, advocacy, management and the non-profit sector, and law and public policy, with many students pursuing advanced study. Students value the department's close faculty-student relationships, its varied field experiences that are integrated with course work, and its many opportunities for undergraduate research.
