The sentence "impossible triangle" is just playing with words. The object you see on the video is a 3D computer model of an object wich can, and has many times, been build as a real object. It's not disjointed and it's obviously not a triangle... but a triangular shape. Several sculptures exist in the world, the first one has been done by the belgium artist who first created this 3D object from the 2D Penrose representation in the small town of Ophoven, Belgium. It was done in AutoCAD R14, then finished up in Inventor.

  • hey exmateriax, it's cool that you think you have a witty reply to everything wrong with this video or the idea of your beloved triangular object, but what really makes you an idiot is the fact that "impossible triangle" is not a sentence. Cool video though.

  • @nikkuhlow Who said "impossible triangle" should be a sentence? "Cool video though" is not a sentence either, and that does not make you an idiot, well, I guess...

  • the illusion is in the fact it simply can't exist in reality (with the sides straight) not that it looks like a triangle

  • @YZB25 I have one in front of me right now and I can assure you I do not live on another planet.

  • your video looks good on a screen but in real life that sculpture cant look as truly amazing as the drawing for one simple reason: we see it in 3d, you'd see the beauty of this only from a certain distance at the right angle and it would work best if youre blind in one eye :)

  • @xilw3r True if the size of the real object (I remind everybody this is a REAL object, I have one in my living room), is important, for a small size like a 10cm object, the paralax is not great enough to make a difference.

  • @alexhicks9624 This object has been built several time by Matheau Haemakers, there is nothing extraordinary about it, no need for another universe, simply go to Belgium, it's a sculpture sitting in the middle of middle size town, sorry to disapoint you, no extraterestrial intelligence involved! I designed the thing in AutoCAD myself, painful to say but I am of average intelligence....

  • @exmateriax post a video of the one that is physically in front of you, and show it from multiple angles. You haven't in the 7 months since you posted the comment that I'm responding to... so... yeah.

  • @exmateriax Hi, you are a complete idiot, confirmed. You said that "impossible triangle" is a sentence right in the description. Also triangles do not have curved sides, they are made of three straight lines. Look it up. You object looks like three robot turds joined together.

  • nice fake!

  • its not impossable i know how they did that in real

  • mind

    blown

  • I like your work..creative.

  • Nice work at embodying the impossible ;).

  • Only Chuck Norris can build the Impossible Triange.

  • @exmateriax Just to clarify, the opening sentence of the video description dictates that the phrase "impossible triangle" is a sentence. I like your video though and it is a really clever idea.

  • Just one word: LOL
