TRADITIONAL DANCE TUNES - ZURNA

Duduk master player Martin Ghazaryan flew from Irkutsk of Siberia to be present at the 90th anniversary celebrations event of Armenia, held at Armenia Pavilion in Moscow Exhibition Center, May 18, 2008.

It was an honor for him to demonstrate the Armenian folklore tunes and instruments to the Russian public as well as its native Armenians.

The festivities started outdoors next to the Armenia Pavilion and extended into the night with a concert inside the Pavilion with an assortment of performances.

Martin displayed his mastery, not only on Duduk, but also Zurna, Shvi and Clarinet as well.

He will be traveling to Armenia for 2008 One Nation, One Culture event(MEK AZG, MEK MSHAKUYT) 17-23 August, performing at the opening and closing galas, while visiting several regions of the country to perform for the local public. This week-long event will be televised by Armenia Public Broadcasting Co., ARTV1 channel via satellite.

  • @e1802 Your so funny. Who cares what pushkin said? He was good at writing poetry, but wasn't specialist in cultural aspects of nations. Everyone has his/her opinion. For example, i'll be smarter than you and will keep mine with me. Thanks

  • @51jek "Jan" expresses respect, and admiration. Also could be referred to a person with meaning "dear".

Zurna- is a musical instrument that the player uses in this video. A blowing instrument.

    Hope it helped.

  • @tatobibiluri no its not. Maybe Persians have a version of duduk but it originated in Armenia

  • @TheHayasa DUDUK is ancient Persian instrument - "NARMEH NEY" !!!

  • @Lazcocuk89 Duduk (Tsiranapogh in Armenian) dates back over 3,000 years to Ancient Armenia. The roots of Armenian duduk music date to the times of the Armenian king Tigran the Great 95–55 B.C. Duduk is mentioned in many Armenian manuscripts of the Middle Ages. Zurna was used in Anatolia way before ottoman empire and in those times there was no turkey. In fact your country is called turkey since 1920s....In fact selimiye mosque is built on a Greek church...not everything is turkish as u think

  • @e1802 you obviously did not read Pushkin because pushkin did not say those words you dumb creature. Zurna is not azeri instrument....again you show how intelligent you are. monkey go back to your cage.

  • what mean JAN? what mean Zurna?
