btw i think the curtains are so the patient can't see the doc giving the other family members bad news and the patient can't see the scared or sad looks on there face when they hear the news. and docs wisper very quietly when behind the curtains and if your in a loud room it's hard for the patient to consentrate on listening to the doc and be unable to hear him as good. btw in TV shows they always have it where they talk right next to the patient to make it more dramatic
