@Firth693 Totally agree. Not the best acting in the world with some of the actors, or even the best scripts in the world but certainly my favourite show of all time. The mixture of the music and brilliant photography work with excellent lighting and colours made it a huge hit for me. Michael Mann is a genius. I also understand the tension between crocket and castillo was both on set and off set too!

Castillo could say more with a look than most of today's actors can say with a few minutes of dialogue! This was such a great show!

Well, I certainly believe the notion of Miami as a setting was helped by Scarface but that's where the comparison ends for me. Personally, MTV (when they actually showed music vids) was far more influential.
