@BangladeshiSoul Alexander is the only person that the name Great is little for him.
He was prophesized both in Bible and the Koran and his legacy lives 2400 years after his early death at 33 y.o.!
He was forced to destroy the evaquated Persepolis as a political act for the destroied Parthenon
He destroyed 12 cities but built 81!
Greeks respected and still respects Iranians.
Today in Greece if you wanna say that someone speaks perfectly-elegantly we say "Milas Farsi"="You speak Farsi(Pesrian)"!

From my childhood reading books, I knew that he was a great hero. But, most recently I came accross the real truth. He is no more a gero to me.
Alexander was the greatest horror on this earth, he can not be Great, rather an arrogant stupid killer

@wainscottbl Amazing comment by you and mountainbreath. Much love to people around the world (whether it's US, UK, Israel, men, women, straights, gays, whites, blacks) who actually took the time to read the true history of Persia. The whole culture of the Achaemenid Empire was to respect everyone, no matter their background. Good thoughts, good words, good deeds. Much love, peace.

@maniijeh @maniijeh He conquered huge amounts of land in a very short period of time, just like Koorush/Cyrus The Great did against the huge Medean empire.
Cyrus The Great is truly great, and so is Alexander The Great.
Persia and Greece had both their own time of greatness.
Persia under Cyrus, Greece under Alexander.

@stern0407 : Some of the black marble columns are in Museums (also Black Marble statues, like the Bull's head and Gryphons). It would shock you to see how big they are. Look for High-Definition photos on the internet. It's better than video.
Well, as a Westerner I quite like the Greeks. But Persia does not get due credit. Really an amazing Empie.
