Yes, driving a V8 Stockcar round the Rockingham Oval at over 160mph and getting PAID to do it is certainly a candidate for the best job in the world. Listen to this excited passenger as the ride comes to an end. LOL, very funny.

The video is shot at the Rockingham Oval Raceway in Corby Northamptonshire and is onboard the V8 Stockcar of the Racing School (www.racing-school.co.uk). These rides are available to the public from around £50.

The driver is Chris 'Chip' Robinson from Australia who has raced these V8 monsters in the UK and Australia. The cars are virtually the same as the American Nascar V8s and reach speeds of over 160mph.

As well as my driver coaching work I also work for the Racing School and can be seen on the video driving the Formula Rockingham single-seater pace car. The Racing School also offer the chance for the public to drive the Oval Circuit in these great cars reaching speeds or around 120mph.

The video is captured on a 4-Cam Video4 setup from Race-Technology, supplied, fitted and operated by www.driver-coaching.com. I use this system extensively in my driver coaching where we are able to compare data & video down to minute detail to help the driver improve at a faster rate.

The best job in the world was racing those. Just a shame that the series was assinated. Still got mine, and loved every second going around there. Turn 3 is FLAT.
