It all started out as a good bond of friendship for these four young and talented guys. Altogether, they discovered one great love - music.

It was in mid 2002 that a group of friends rallying during their spare time thought of putting up a band that will serve as an outlet for their swarming love for music. SoapDish was the name they thought to be most fit to collectively call themselves. From there, they all joined forces to better improve their craft.

Their materials came from the collection of songs that Jeff Bolivar, the singer/guitarist/songwriter, has written to convey his past experiences using honest, straightforward lyrics that people who are in and have been into relationships can easily relate to.

The sound of SoapDish is centered on emotions of melancholy that portrays life's (relationships' in particular) frustrations, attacked positively with an upbeat mood, accompanied by a rhythm that is very radio-friendly.

On September 2004, the band released an independent EP they called THE NEW BEAUTIFUL. It was a three-song recording signifying the rebirth of the band (taking into consideration the new line-up). The songs in it contained the common themes of t he band's music: hook-filled, guitar-driven songs of love, hate, frustration, blame, and apologetic summons.

The band currently plays their original songs together with some covers (which include songs from the Foo Fighters, who has been a constant influence) in bars, primarily at Mayric's where they hold a regular monthly schedule. Also included in the list of bars are Altered Native in Fairview, Freedom Bar in Anonas, BigSkyMind in E. Rodriguez Q.C., Red Door in Pasig, Tapika in Katipunan, Milennia in kamuning, and the now- defunct K.A.F.E. in Katipunan and KSP Grille in Pasig. Apart from that, they also take part in multi-band events that is set-up on several school functions, which include the Ateneo, La Salle, FEU, St. Paul University in Q.C. and Manila, UP Diliman, AMACC Q.C., Holy Spirit Q.C., etc. Plus, they also grace events and other functions held by different organizing units like FM stations and the like.
