@MsRio93 for ur sake n @KAMMYASHBIGGESTFAN n all others, just googled her n it says her mother tongue is tamil. but both parents lived in Kerala n were prob born there 2. But their called palakkad iyers aka tamil iyers who migrated to Palakkad Kerala. Hence Padma Lakshmi is a Tamil iyer, from Kerala. she just said she's from kerala, she never mentioned anything abt being a Malayalee. And she herself was apparently born in chennai which i think is the tamil place. lets just say she's INDIAN. OK?

@Ocean3589 not especially in the North, if your referring to Aishwarya rai who has green blue eyes, she's from Karnataka, south india. My cousin has green blue eyes and she's from South india as well. but its true, many ppl have green eyes

Dude, you're an idiot. Prior to the British arrival India had the highest GDP in the world. By the time the British were done it was about 10% what it had been. All the British "improvements," such as railroads and schools (to train pro-British bureaucrats), were done to facilitate the plundering of India's resources.
