What Is Beauty- A Short Film

Quite often on Youtube, I receive personal messages from teen girls asking me a general question: How do I make myself prettier? How can I look beautiful? I created this short with my subscribers in mind.

In my eyes, the definition of beauty is quite materialistic in today's flawed society. We are completely surrounded by magazines, TV commercials, and even videos on Youtube that contain "beautiful," tall, thin girls with flawless features. It becomes easy to forget our own beauty when we compare ourselves to airbrushed models. Girls also easily forget that being beautiful is not something that is defined by skinniness, a pretty face, a big bust, or a perfect smile. Beauty is solely defined by what is on the inside; inner beauty.

This video somewhat goes with the cliché saying: beauty cannot be measured by someone's outer appearance, but it is 100% true. I hope that all of you watching have a changed perspective as a result of seeing this short film. You all can choose to interpret it how you like, but I hope that the message it sends is strong and clear. It is different from my usual videos, but I hope that you all have enjoyed watching it!

This video had such a beautiful message :) I found this video really touching, because I will admit, I do feel intimidated by the magazines and perfect looking celebrities sometimes. I think its sad how there has been an "ideal" put out there that many girls try to live up to. I really loved how you did this, because I think with all these videos about makeup, fashion, etc many of us forget the meaning of true beauty, so I'm happy to see you didn't! This video at the end almost made me shed a tear. Its like everyones programed by the images media has all over the place to symbolize beauty and its not. Theres a vast majority of "fake beauty" that makes it hard for women to see the "real beauty" Tysm for the video. the type of Beautys u see in magzines now r mainly for commercail advertisement, porn, etc.. u wanna be a product ?? to be used just for ur looks? thats what this beauty is made for.. Temptation!. Smh. Great job on the vid!
