Obama in Oslo to receive Nobel peace prize

U.S. President Barack Obama will frame the war in Afghanistan as part of a wider pursuit for peace when he accepts the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo later today Obama, who departed Andrews Air Force Base last evening for his trip to Norway, has the tricky task of reconciling the peace prize with being a wartime president who only last week ordered 30,000 more troops to Afghanistan in a dramatic escalation of the U.S. war effort.

Whether people feel Obama deserves the Noble prize or not, you have to admit that his very election has caused the world to look at America differently & eased our "hated" status around the globe! Much more is expected of this Presidency than any other at any time in America's history. He has mammoth responsibilities primarily to correct the scourge upon this country that 8 years of incompetency has yielded!
