It supports the GPS.
About the maps, I'm not aware of a website which allows you to download them by region, but maemo-mapper can do that. You can download them when at home, or copy them from a friend's N900.

I like this app but obviously not finished. I been playing with but couldn't figure out how ....can you do a route from point A to B with this app and show the direction on the map?? I don't think it work and i try all options. Also is it possible to incorporate voice navigation in this app??And can you add POIs?? It just doesn't work. It has POIs and traffics layer...ect...i mean it has a lot of features but doesn't seem to work for me.

hi! Routing works already; but maybe it's difficult to find: click on the route icon (the road with the flag) and then choose the "download" item.
POIs also work, but there's a bug that they don't appear on the map as soon as you add them: you need to move the map so that it get refreshed. I'll fix that soon.
Voice navigation should work if you have the flite package, but I didn't try it.
Layers don't work at the moment.
The app has so many features that porting requires a big effort.

@reptilexcq2 It's less than one second! Or did you try the application yourself? I didn't release this version yet.

Thank you for reply :-) So I can install this program, connect at home with Wlan and go through entire europe and it will save itself on my phone? So that when I go out I will not need connection? And it will show my position on the map?

You understood correctly. :-)
But the application is still only available in the development repository. I hope to make a testing release sometime next week.
