  • Rear spinning hook kick in mine. Oh how I miss those days. My heart flutters when I see TKD students & Masters in action. Knee replacement has me side-lined. TKD is my first love. I'd loved nothing more than to be able to do one of TKD's greatest kicks; anyone of them. Keep strong my fellow TKD students. Gamsa Hamnida, for the last ten years.

  • @54l33m This is not the basic form of the kick (beautiful spin, landing in perfect position, hands are differently too). This the self defence/Olympic taekwondo version. The power in it is maximized, the balance is not so important. (and yeah, i know you posted this a year ago)

  • @Goji77 we just call it hook kick :D

  • @CuGiXxANDxXGaZz Mate good on you, I wished more kids here had the go in them like you, 12 years is a long time and long enough to be a 4th dan, I took two years to get my 2nd dan after my 1st, I will probably waite 3-4 years before I consider going for my 3rd, depends on how much training I can get in myself, its hard when you run your own class, you let your own training slip, anyway keep up the good work, you should put up some clips on youtube.

  • @hazzaroot there are ways to improve your flexibilty to a full split. both types of splits.

  • how many koreans are named kim

  • I'm sure the step afterward is good for some reason, maybe faster positioning for follow up technques or to add more power to the kick. but sang h. kim does not have a bad balance guys, i hope you are kidding. he's a master of taekwondo sparring!

  • @bajanninja

    there is no

  • What's the difference between a whip kick and a hook kick?

  • @RobsWolfsong Agree fully, I started 7 years ago when I was 39 and was the oldest in the class besides my teacher, Im not real flexible, never have been, I can still do a great reverse turning kick, not high but mid waist and powerfull enough to hurt , but I love every minute I train, I just went for my second dan wich was around 3 hr testing, Ive been running my own class now and find I can put more into a class other then just TKD.

  • @pdbarrow1 If you are familar with Bill Wallace,he is as fast and flexible with 2 replaced hips and a knee replacement. You may not be as good as you were, age does that to us all but you mat still be able to enjoy a great sport.I started in my 40s and although I'm not as fast or flexible as i would have been in my teens or twenties it has been great fun learning.
