It goes 2 for the president down in the south jefferson davis secession was what he was all about
It goes 3 for the robert E. Lee fought for the South and led Northern virginia's army
4 for Ulysses S. Grant this man's plan was to defend the union's land
5 and 6 and 7 go to the mother's who had to watch their own sons fight one another
And for 8 please don't hate it's hip hop history I think we just made history

South Carolina down at Fort Sumpter the first shots rang out loud like thunder
better run the war had begun the first major battle was at bull run or
Manasas the fact is these are the same thing I rap on a level that you could not maintain
Abe passed the emancipation proclamation which freed slaves in rebelling states
The battle of vicksburg gave the north the Missisiipi river now it's looking like they could not be beat
the turning point was gettysburg the north stopped lee from taking DC
And defeat finally occured at appomattox court house lee gave Grant his word
that the war was over and finished but im not done give me one more minute
to explain how this war effected the country a terrible tragedy far from funny
Disease killed more than guns did the soldiers got younger yep there were young kids
Clara Barton founded the Red Cross a civil war nurse who prevented many lives lost
The south lost the north win hopefully we never see it again
The South lost the north win hopefully we never see it again
