@krajachoudhury The Iliad is not a history book; it's a literary work. The trojan war perhaps really happened, but it's foolish to believe that a man of the 8th cent BC wrote a history book about a war of the 12th. You should read the studies about the homeric poems and the complexity of their creation.

I've read the Iliad and I say that there Achilles is not invulnerable; give me a verse that shows the opposite. And of course you can like Hector but Achilles is a hero either you like it or not

@krajachoudhury Who told you that Achilles was dipped in Styx? In the movie he is a mortal man 100%; he is just the greatest warrior of his age. His abilities are greater than Hector's, get over it. (Of course neither in the Iliad it's said that he was dipped in Styx, only in some later works that don't connect his dipping with his powers).

Of course his character, especially in the movie, was not the best, but that's how life is.

hector is the best. every country needs a patriot and brave soldier like him. he did every thing he could to save troy. i bet Achilles might not have been what he is if he is not dipped in magic water. people like hector because it is what he is. Achilles is a selfish blood thirsty bastard. who is given a hero status. hector is the real hero
