As a veteran of the hotel industry, this was awesome! I've done both Housekeeping and Front Desk work and they both suck.
As far as housekeeping waking you up at 7AM, that's what the Do Not Disturb sign is for. Considering 'Maria' probably doesn't speak English and I've never met a psychic housekeeper a day in my life, that's the only indication for her that you don't want her knocking on your door.
But yes, hotel envelopes are a waste of paper.
