Air boat with pontoons made from foam pool noodles. Faster than the flat bottom hull, but still won't get up and plane on top of the water. Steering response is slower. Needs more power...back to the drawing board..

  • Improved, but needs a brushless motor / lipo combo to really get some speed....

  • Now it will have the lack of resistance that will let it be able to tow as a tug boat.

Before it would have be a little weak to bring in a 2nd boat.

A rescue boat is my plan for this hull not that I know it will not become a screamer without a biggrer motor. The power platform is totally self-contained and lifts right off, so I can design a new hull and set this in. Ready to use with out much effort.

  • That's a heck of a lot faster! Success!

Try upping the batt next. A lith should push that motor better. stock is 7 cell Ni-MH AA 1300mAh 8.4 V in think. Fully charged is 10.3 -10.4 V so you might be able to do 2 cell 1300 mah LiPo which is 8.4V fully charged but LiPo will drive it harder depending on the C rating.

Google "battery for wild hawk" for blogs to find batt upgrade. Enjoy :-)
