  • Why didn't you just buy the 9mm in the first place

  • @Ssyakinn23 I originally bought this gun to be a carry piece, so I wanted the .40 for better ballistics over a 9mm. I got the 9mm conversion so I could train with the gun and spend less on ammo. In my state, 9mm is about 30% cheaper.

Like i said in the video, I am not impressed with the 9mm ballistics. This is my everyday carry weapon, so I wanted something small that i could conceal (.45 tends to be too big) but better ballistics than a 9mm. Thats why I chose the .40. I got the 9mm conversion so I could train with the weapon and save some money on ammo. Plus its like having 2 guns in one.

  • can anyone tell me who else make a 40 to 9mm conversion kit for the M&P full size. Is Storm Lake the only company who makes the conversion

  • @Wishiculd When I was researching it, StormLake was the only one I could find. Its great quality though, I have about 800 rounds through it now, Not one jam/failure.

  • Hey PD! I really like your reviews and video quality, that's why I ended up buying another M&P40 in compact version at this time. I probably missed it in your video but where exactly did you buy you conversion barrel? Thanks!

  • @svrblk777 Thank You! I got the barrel from brownells .. they have a great assortment of m&p conversions

  • You can actually do this conversion with a stock m&p 9 replacement barrel. About half the price at brownells.

  • I think if you own a m&p 9 you can use .40 cal mags. They do interchange, and hold more 9's than a 9mm mag

  • barrel, spring and clip

  • where did u buy the conversion kit? I have a s&w 4014 40 cal and i want to convert it to a 9mm...

  • Did you need any thing other that the barrel i.e. extractor ???
