I remember watching "Spin Off" in the summer of '75, and during the last week of that show Jim Lange promoted "Give N Take," the show that would take over that time slot. He would be the host of this new show, where winners could win "20,000 in prizes!"

I forgot to mention, I'm glad KHOU didn't carry that game show. If that had lasted longer, CBS would be the female contestants are favored network, except for Tattle tales (all stars) & Gambit (married couples).
-
I forgot to mention: this was one of the first game shows I ever watched.
-
way way way too complicated. I could see Y it tested crappily. Most views would turn the channel in 5 minutes!

Stump the Schwab only had male contestants; not sure if that was by choice, or if no women were interested in playing.

in response to edvideo1978 there was a sports-themed game show in canada called Game On which only had male contestants, but I'm not sure if that was a rule or if no women ever made it through.
-
Actually, a man did appear on that show at least once every week.

This show? Well, the following Monday, "As the World Turns" began airing one hour each day.

Anyone notice the sound as the arrow is slowing down? That sound would be used for the :15/:10 timer on Wheel of Fortune's bonus round from about 1982-1989
