@JesusWasADerelict electrons are not made of quarks. Protons and neutrons are.
-
wtf why didnt my teacher tell me this shit lol
-
Are there really students learning about electromagnetics that haven't taken alegebra 2? Ahh, I'm just learning this stuff and I'm my second year of AP Calc BC.
-
@derekowens u rock i am extremely thankful!
-
welldone!sir

@JesusWasADerelict Hadrons are made from quarks. Electrons are Leptons, not Hadrons -- they haven't been shown to be composites of anything else.
-
you are better than any math/physics teacher i've ever had. i appreciate this soooo much.

@derekowens Alright gotcha, cheers

can u please explain what is mean by ''k'' in equation i know that is constant but what does it really means.
MsTightman 4 months ago
@MsTightman k is one of the constants of the universe. It is basically a number that tells us how strong the electrostatic force is. Just like G is a constant for the gravitational equation, k is a constant for the electrical forces.

Why are electrons referred to as elementary particles if they themselves are made up of quarks?
JesusWasADerelict 7 months ago
@JesusWasADerelict Because we can never break an electron apart into its constituent quarks.
