@jasoneric1981 yep. People don't understand that either its funny. WHen you go past 90 degrees, the weight is being transfered to the shoulder. If you workout to failure, your shoulders are failing waaay before your chest will. People are too ignorant to realize that tho.

@JuDane95 uh huh....except "pro athletes for almost any sport" are not training specifically for benchpress, they are just benching to get their upper body strength up. Powerlifters train specifically for benchpress, squat, and deadlift, and there is no powerlifting leauge that would greenlight a benchpress that didn't touch the chest. A REAL banchpress ALWAYS touches the chest, and if you wanna argue it, don't argue with me, argue with the thousands of powerlifters in the world.

@jasoneric1981 yeah im tired of listening to all these people say "touch the chest" - even when you look at pro athletes for most any sport most of them go to parallel or slightly less - just goes to show whos on youtube
