He didn't kill because he found someone who wasn't intimitated by him. He ask here three times and gave her that pyscho stare, but she held her ground. If she did give him the information, he would have killed her.
That's why he looked back at her and grinned like, this lady actually has some balls. And pretty much nobody else in the movie didn't show fear when confronting him, which is why he killed them, or in the gas station gentleman's case, flipped the coin.
