  • They shelved this engine, cause not bout how expensive to manufacture because that time oil industry control everything, anything that create n hampers the demand of oil...better be put it elsewhere, like wot the outo makers did in 60's n 70's they bought all, electric trams n any public transport that didn't create demand for more oil,...there're lotsa others example :)

  • 1983?

  • ''They say it will be in production in two years time...''

Well, this looks like an early Top Gear episode from the late 70's, early 80's.

Isuzu - we're still waiting for your ceramic engine. Where is it?

  • @jimkamenidis You can't put them in mass production yet because it's incredibly difficult to account for the inhomogeneous nature of ceramics. Mass produced metal is less likely to suffer from major defects, if you want a ceramic engine you have to have it laboratory tested, it's a much slower and expensive process.

  • oil is more rare than fuel beacause it's production is more comlicated..

    YOUVE GOT PROBLEMS MATE! :)

  • it would still need some kind of oil..its not all ceramic.i have heard of cylinder walls being ceramic but thats pretty much it,maybe it doesn't hold up very well in the long run using it for rings and valves, idk

  • isuzu FTW!

  • @jimkamenidis Yet the still need fuel??

    Retard

Piss of with all your oil company conspiricy bullshit

  • they don't put it in mass production because it isn't in favor of the oil companies..

ceramics don't need lubrication and that's why.

  • i heard about this years ago. but this vid is probaly as old as i am . so the technology is there. but how come we dont see these on the streets yet.
