This is a movie based on Plato's Allegory of the Cave from "The Republic of Plato." This is an artistic interpretation, not literal - hope you enjoy!
FACTS ABOUT THE MOVIE::
-It's filmed in black and white to represent how the world of the "prisoner" is viewed; since the prisoner (Anonumos, played by Sandy Watters) only knows one reality, her world is in black and white until she is introduced to philosophy
-When Kathigitra (played by Joon Johnson) whispers through the wall, she is whispering the fibonacci sequence backwards, starting with 17711 and ending with 1
-The word "Aptera" means wingless in Greek (which has to do with the ending ^_^)
-The word "Anonumos" means nameless in Greek, "Kathigitra" means teacher, and "Acephalous" means headless
-When Anonumos is first introduced to the door behind her, Kathigitra whispers "eleutheria," meaning freedom in Greek, and she whispers it again when Anonumos falls down after looking into the sun
-When Anonumos is about to follow Acephalous back into the cave, Kathigitra whispers "thanatos," meaning death in Greek
