"NYC" by Jeff Scher (1976)

I made this in 1976 as a student at Bard College. I printed it to negative years later and liked the way it looked better than the now faded original film. The original printing masters for the film were lost when the lab storing it went out of business. In 2009 I re-cut this film for my NYTIMES.COM blog with new music by Shay Lynch. It was shot in the days when I carried a loaded 16mm Bolex everywhere. All of the effects were done in the camera. The newer version can be seen at the Times site.
