@saltlakecity2002 I actually took a look at NBC's footage right now for fun - their camera footage and angle shows the mistake much more - go take a look at it - she really loses control. But this footage doesn't make the mistake look quite as bad - so it could have been where the commentators were viewing.

@saltlakecity2002 I actually think Elfi called it out better than these commentators because she was absolutely right - when she bobbled, she gave it away. Bogi had to be perfect for any chance of medaling. I actually felt as if Julianna was looking the other way or something because it was that obvious of a mistake. Prior to her routine, they said she had to be absolutely perfect or there would be no chance. In my opinion, being too subtle about the comments in the instance is bad

Nice to see that the commentators were more subtle about calling out that bobble. On NBC, Elfi was like "OMG There's no way she can get that score with that bobble, that's it." And then they talked about it forever from that point on.

unfortunatly, she get a 9.912 (she needed a 9.937) and only took the fifth place...........
The 9.9's weren't a joke for their time... as time goes on the difficulty increases which lowers scores. Also, judging becomes tighter.

Unfortunately for Svetlana, she gave it away on bars (poor Tkatchev -only one release) and that wobble on beam. She was close though...
