This is "The Pot" by Tool on a WARR Guitar. Just the Bass part. I am using a WARR TGSS 12, an Eventide Pitchfactor (for the Bass Whammy FX) and a Line 6 BASS Pod XT Live for all other amp sounds and effects. I couldn't quite get the right sound for the crazy WAH stuff after the bass solo section so I just used distortion and an Auto Wah. My audio is on the left and the CD is panned right.

  • This instrument is a new discovery for me as of 30 minutes ago. I watched a few other videos on it and some I have seen play a bass line on the top and an independent melody on the bottom. Can you do this too?

I am assuming the reason you're only playing the bottom portion is because you're emulating a bass that doesn't have the extra strings on top?

  • @patriotea76 It is possible and I can play that way. I am only playing all the bass parts of this song so I figured I would just play it all on the bass strings.

  • You need to be in a band dude. The tool covers are pretty sweet man. But if you were in a band.. that would be amazing.

  • @clarkshapedbox Wish I had the free time.

  • I have never commented on a video before... but that is f**kin insane!!!!!! I have played the bass for 12 years now and never seen anything like that. Keep it up man.

  • @yawametoo Ha! Thanks.

  • that's way cool. great job!

  • @WARR138 Very cool man. You have some great talent. It takes a lot of talent, time and concentration to be able to split your hands up like that. A lot like playing the piano. Great stuff man!

  • @WARR138 You apparently have the talent and the knowledge to be doing this for a living. I would go so far as to say that if you are an accountant or something that doesn't have to do with music, this is wasted talent. But I suppose as long as you're doing what you want with you're life, the musical talent is not so wasted.

  • the tone at the beggining is awesome!

  • Wow bad ass

  • That is the most bad ass thing I have ever seen... I bet that cost you a pretty penny. lol

  • @WARR138 you have big giant warr guitars and big giant canvases for painting and your telling me you dont have free time? hahah well you should still compose some originals on your own. i think it would be pretty sweet
