well mine has the spokes facing out on the rear wheels,They shouldn't be smooth on the outside.

Same story here! lol, moms mother in law gave her one of these in 87. Divorced in 1997. Still had it in 07 when our house burnt down. It worked great, and would probably still work if it hadn't burned up.

A friend picked up a newer kenmore powermate at a yard sale today and gave it to me. I had been looking at the new ones at kmart. he paid 10.00 for it
I changed the filter and bag and cleaned it up. It vacuums with ease, especially under the furniture! What a deal. love the magi-cord feature. Mine dosen't have a light. wish it did. Great Deal and Great Machine.

the ones on your kenmores on the top of the shelf, on the right side of the doorway. arent the wheels supposed to be turned around to the other side?
