Create Change

The Create Change mural acknowledges that in the midst of the very real challenges of war, poverty and environmental destruction, we still have the power to create healthy and thriving communities. The mural will communicate this through images related to healthcare, green energy, jobs, education, art, and the environment contained within the words "Create Change". These images will be juxtaposed with images relating the outcomes of when we choose not to step up and create change. Through this contrast, we communicate that the vision and creativity needed to build healthy communities produces a far more colorful and vibrant picture.

These murals introduce the concept of "everyone a changemaker." By taking action in various and individual ways, everyone can contribute to the movement that is "Change Your City." This is represented by the distinct images that are held together by the words "Create Change." It's an inspirational and creative call to action for the community.

Young leaders from 2Kool and West High School's mural club bring a uniquely youthful perspective and voice to the project. They are committed to infusing the mural with the values of diversity, creativity and commitment to community. We achieve this through creating change within ourselves and in our own communities.
