Champion vs "Champion" (Sid vs HHH)

World Champion Sid Eudy faces "Intercontinental Champion" Triple H for a non title match. Is it a Champion vs Champion match? Please.
There are some fans that still believe in that storyline of the MSG incident that took place on May 19, 1996. HHH was easily defeated by Warrior at WM XII on March 31, 1996. HHH won his first IC on October 21, 1996. Later he faced Sycho Sid in this match November, 1996.

I thought their match a few months earlier sucked, but at least Triple H got a few offensive moves in that one.
