Hotel developpers should be prosecuted.....everywhere they go it;'s just destroy destroy and destroy beautiful natural coasts. I really pity the people of French Polynesia...and you know what? I'm French metropolitan...but can't help it... sad what the metropole has done to that beautiful part of the world and its people. Things are said.

I agonize over this same thing too...its a high price to pay for "progress"...guess its too late to declare it a world heritage site protected from further development..Last time I looked, there was like a dozen hotels on Bora alone...but thats the way it goes in the "modern" world....keep on expanding until the whole thing collapses...like now...c'est la vie...yep....so sad....

too bad Bora Bora like Moorea is now doing has sold its very soul to the tourist industry. Tahiti?...its getting harder and harder to find now that its become more like Disney Land:(
