Its not the farmers and cattlers faults, its the big companies that force them to put animals in such bad conditions.

Some of those companies literally threaten these people by saying they'll lose their job, home, ect. if they don't agree to the contract.

But I'll argue anyway.

You gotta consider efficientcy and yield. Free range farms take up a shit load of space and output maybe 10% of what regular cattlefarms do.

The Statistics I found for the UK and US are roughly proportionately the same, at around there being 6 times the amount of non-organic cattlefarms compared to organic farming. If they all turned organic, we'd not have enough beef.

@DeathBlade93 No it wouldn't. People are just too stingy and don't want to spend more if they don't have to. They'll bitch if their meat costs a dollar or two more per pound, but have no problem buying soda, chips, poptarts, ice cream and other nutritionally deficient garbage. Sad how so many Americans apparently can't live without corn-fed garbage and consider anything green not food. Other countries get along fine without having a Big Mac for every meal.

PETA has been asked to release vet records of the animals they kill to prove they are all sick and dying and beyond help like they state. PETA refuses. Wonder why? PETA could squash this thing IF they were telling the truth. PETA has a higher kill rate than Virginia's worst kill shelter.
