  • but it's not londonderry or derry city in the photo haha

  • @candyfloss694 Ha ha to yourself. I think enough people have already commented that fact. But you know, when you choose the pictures from Google, you don't always get what you expect.

  • Where is this version taken from? it's definitely not the "Fin de Siecle" one

  • @gilystein Maybe you should listen to that album again and refresh your memory - this is definitely the one and only version from Sunrise. I have never heard other version existed apart from live ones.

  • if only. those of us who lived through the stupidity that was (and still is until the marching season is at a full stop) "the troubles" truely wish it was over. we are all citizens of the cities and towns mentioned in this song. we are all changed in some way by the bombings, the tit for tat murder (yes they are murders). let it stop before the next generation gets sucked in.

  • possibly the best song ever

  • No matter where your loyalties lie, it's a story of a wee boy trying to make sense of the Troubles, put beautifully to song.

  • BTW if You like the song, check out the 'Puckoon'.

One, wonderful, low budget comedy I found this band by.

  • @KenfromDublin Judging by your YouTube name, you're not even from Northern Ireland - you're from the Irish Republic. It's not even the same country! The town's name is Londonderry - can't argue with that, I'm afraid.

  • @SirCrouch1 Maybe he's confusing it with Pulp: Sunrise, which is a great track, but only the 2nd best track called "Sunrise" ;)

  • @tmmvds Tmmvds, you are right, this is the only studio version. Maybe this guys tape player is broken and it plays generation sex instead?

  • Even though it's about his upbringing in Derry and the Troubles, it's a beautiful song that says to me regardless of the pain we inflict upon each other, the sun always comes up and each new day brings fresh hope. Gorgeous song.
