Most songs Doug Parker aka whisperingdoug play are historic Mississippi Delta Country Blues from the Deep South's cotton plantations during the Great Depression of the late 1920s and 1930s. He also performs songs from the Blues Revival Era of the early 1960s. The Mississippi Delta is the birthplace of the Blues and its roots date back to the Slave Days of the early Union.
