hey man, are you using an attenuator for this vid, or do you use the master volume? Serious tone!!

Hi
I used a Dr Z attenuator. It works very well with the Marshall. With the attenuator I can obtain great tone at bedroom volume.

So it's a big difference in tone as opposed to using the master volume? Don't get me wrong I know all about tube amps and preamp/power amp distorsion... Im just curious...

There is a big difference if you play at low volume like I do: with the attenuator I can raise master volume just to make really work the tubes, also playing at home. At the same volume but without the attenuator the ampli doesn't sounds good...but I think it's normal for a 50W tube amp.

what do u recommend vm head and cab or combo?
malmsteen80 2 years ago
I love my ppc 212 cab (with Vintage 30), so I recommend you the head version, but I've never tried the combo.
