Xr6 Turbo Flutter

My Xr6 Turbo Flutter, Modified the stock BOV, blocked up the intake pipe.

Hardly giving it any, yet still making the cool noise.

hey bro im getting a xr6T this month hopefully. i love manuals but heapsa people say yeh yeh the autos there quicker etc.. have u got the t5 manual box? is it any good..? (hacking power gains etc). or u rekon spend more an get 6spd manual even though there bit to expensive atm. catch

trust me mate the t5 is only good for stock power, the minute to try and mod it goes bang

nah mate the stock xr6 turbo BOV is really quiet, plumback systems are generally all the same like that, they found it more consumer friendly to have it quiet, all the older people who buy these cars didnt want a 'stupid' noise coming from the engine, but us young blokes can easily change this :p

Dragzk, i bought a monza oil filter on stuck it on the end of the std BOV and just blocked the other side of it (where the bov is orginally connected to) with a 25mm chair tip you can buy from bunnings, all up this mod costs about 12$? lol

@fpvshitsonhsv please re-elaborate on the differences between a blow off valve and a dump valve and also which manufacturers make the different varients of these valves lol

@KOBUTTERBEAN no its just pipeing from the compressor with an after market air filter. A BOV will make funny noises too but set right actually do help eliminate surge. If you want continues power you want to eliminate this so the turbine rpm are still high on shits there fore a longer hp band. The best is a DV(Dump Valve) used on the track for racing but not made for funny noises. Strictly for hp a DV is and do make a sound but not amplified as there are made for go not show like BOV's

Might wanna do something about that surge and get a DV not a BOV a DV unless you wanna make tweety bird noises everywhere.
