A special video tour of the Sick Bay aboard USS Constitution.

Located at the front (bow or prow) of the ship on the Berth deck, the Sick Bay was a convalescent and resting place for the sick and injured sailors and Marines. It offered a small amount of isolation from the general berthing area while keeping the patients near stocked medicines and preparations helpful to preparing them to return to duty.

Berthed in Massachusetts's historic Charlestown Navy Yard, USS Constitution is America's Ship of State and the oldest commissioned warship afloat in the world. Details on the ship, her crew, and her free public tours can be found at her website:
