@sugahoneysexybaby hi i have a 135gal FOWLR tank which means: (Fish Only With Live Rock) anyways the answer to your question...the need for a sump is really intended for a "Reef" setup. My tank hase a Fluval Fx5 canister filter, corallife 220gal skimmer and my live rock and my water is crystal clear plus i do water changes each week on top of that. He is going to get too large for the 55. I ran into the same problem and had to upgrade the tank to a 100

@deanihiga my trigger, (same kind), lives with an eel and shrimp and he attacked my shrimp and ripped off a claw, i'm not really concerned because it will grow back but it's best to like martinipm said, buy them when they're young, they are aggressive fish but then again, fish vary in personality, my eel and shrimp love each other. overall advice, play it safe unless you're either totally sure the trigger won't kill another fish or you're okay with the possible loss of another fish to him.

Hi there, I was thinking of starting a 100g marine tank. Do I need a sump filter or is live rock and a eheim classic 2217 with a protein skimmer fine ???? and live rock. Thanks for any replys.

He's a real meat eater. Any frozen food makes him happy. Although, I like to feed him some algae as well.

im thinking of converting my freshwater tank to saltwater. im jst wondering if ur trigger fish "trig triggler" has ever attacked another fish.

I got the Trigster when he was a very young fish. As a result, he has not been aggressive at all. He's a great fish!
