If you're thinking of making a prank phone call, watch this.

Information on why prank phone calls are never truly anonymous (with music to make it less boring, lol).

If you make a silly, maybe even annoying but essentially harmless prank call, you probably won't get into any trouble (unless your parents find out).

If you call someone repeatedly, or wake them in the middle of the night, you're more likely to get into some trouble.

And if you make a racist comment or threaten someone in any way, expect a visit from 5-0. You ARE in trouble!

VOIP calls will trace back to the PSTN gateway that the VOIP company uses to connect to the phone network form there your IP address can be tracked back to you. if you connect to a network other than you home it will track back to that place. if you are really paranoid you could spoof you mac address also.

I always do prank call from my cell phone. I buy Pre-Paid SIM cards at the flee market (2 for $15) and use them 3 or 4 maybe 5 times to prank call, Best $15 dollars I spend. You guys should try this, is wrong Yet Funny. YAY FOR PRANK CALLS!

Yea... most people don't make prank calls to the same number repeatedly..that would just be stupid...and most people aren't stupid enough to threaten someone's life or call them any type of slurs...most of the time they just act stupid and the person hangs up....If a person is stupid enough to threaten someone over the phone, then they deserve to go to jail. But regular prank calls, are harmless.
