Inspired by the Occupy Wallstreet movement here is The 270 View's take on what we perceived to be CCA's 1% and how they contrast the other 99% who actually work and enable the company to exist apparently at the workers own expense. The music is "Company Man" by English Teeth & Adam McKay, No Record Company.

  • it stated that the cooperate leaders cant live off a c/o's pay but te ceo of cca mr, hiniger started out with cca as a c/o. i have worked for cca for 4 years i love my job . yes te raises have been few and far between, but cca is the best company i have ever worked for you dont tink other companys dont do this when te ecomy is down. the facilty i work at is gettng a raise in about 2 weeks 1.50 or so, i dont plan leaving anytime soon

  • @The270View do you really think that the government is going to just get cca with out cca getting anything out of it? Cca will have to be bought out by the government and sense you think it wrong to not get a raise every two years then we will have to pay them a raise which means higher taxes and then I'm sure if they didn't pay them overtime pay they will want to pay them overtime pay which is higher taxes so yep

  • @popemobil74 Why would taxes be higher? Don't fall for that we do it cheaper and better argument. Thats been disproved over and over. In fact CCA just lost a contract last month for the Delta Correctional facility in Mississippi because the state of Mississippi could run the facility cheaper than CCA was.

  • @The270View Do you have proof of this? If you don't like cca then why don't you pay higher taxes so the state can afford to hire CO to run the prisons they run. Would you be willing to take an oh lets say 15% tax increase per paycheck.

  • @popemobil74 CCA is directly involved in having more prisoners by spending millions of dollars a year lobbying politians who make the laws for more prisons. CCA also positioned itself in a role where it directly helped to draft legislation through ALEC that created more prisoners/detainees that it could then later build prisons to house. All of this was done with the profits off of tax payer contracts.

  • @SternMann93 so I'm the dumb one huh? Do you know how the legal system works? Law makers make laws if people brake the law they deal with law enforcement which then arrest the person they have their day in court which a judge decides where the person should go if found guilty. So tell me how is CCA directly involved in having more Prisoners?

  • @popemobil74 Are you retarded? America has the largest prison population in the world per capita. Do you know why? Because of corporations like this, who make profit from prisoners. The more people they get into their facilities the more money they get. That is not a law-enforcement system, it's business where humans are the commodity.

  • Do you know how many CEOs have not gotten rasies in longer then 2 years. Heck in sumner county jail they havent gotten a raise in over 10 years. Also do you know how much the goverment pays for Law Enforcement its a lot more then a few billion I assre you. CCA has saved tax payers millions and opened 17,000 jobs but your right lets fire all 17,000 employees and release all the prisnors.
