Spring has arrived early at Albion Farm, Delph. 20 Dorset Horn and Polled Dorset ewes have given birth to more than 30 lambs, thanks to two escaped rams in August 2007! Normally lambs don't arrive until spring but this particular breed of sheep can get pregnant at any time of the year, hence the early arrivals.
The lambs are being kept indoors with their mothers until the weather gets warmer. Visitors to Albion Farm Shop have been entertained by the lambs scampering around so they are proving quite an attraction in the winter months.
great video - lovely to see the skipping lambs - first signs of spring!
