In a whole lotta ways this election is quite different.
The candidates are finally talking 'bout being energy independent.
There's a woman running for VP and then there's Obama,
And they both even admit they once smoked marijuana.

I'm thinking back now on eight years under Bush.
How the nation and the whole world kinda took it up the tush.
I think whoever comes to power is eventually gonna dupe us.
At least the Democrats will use lube right before they screw us.

Ya know the White House is a place where you just don't belong.
How you could ever wind up there, I can't make that connection.
Then again Bush made it his home after two separate elections.

yes, what makes dylan great is the subtlety. this songs lacks it. I love Song to Woody - a tribute to Dylan's main source of inspiration. Turning it around into something hateful is insulting. Also, Dylan is still alive and making music, so don't speak as if he's dead. No I am not a 'palin-ite'. I'm a Dylan fan.

what kind of ridiculous statement is that to make? ever heard the scathing attack in ballad in plain d? in fact many of his songs are littered with subtle "disses" of many people. dylan was an angry guy who held a lot of people in contempt. im sure youd be one of them1 i like this song youre obviously a palin-ite??
