  • I will trying this this year. You rock, Rock.

  • @VisionForum1 thnx, I will be planting the 5 gallon bucket garden again soon,, right with ya

  • If you only put one tomato plant in a 5 gallon bucket wont that take up the whole space, or does it need 2? Perhaps just with the dwarf types of tomato plants that don't get six feet tall? Have you found anything limiting about what types of tomatoes you can or cant grow in there?

  • @AlusaBird2 I have at the end of the year dumped out all the 5 gallon buckets to look at the root ball, and recommend 1 or 2 plants MAX as they will root bound the container, I have also grown squash, peppers, zucchini and cucumbers in my garden this way,,thnx

  • Great tips! Really like the walk through on your process and your explanations.

  • Awesome!

  • 2help w/watering, check out globalbuckets org for ideas. Though I've found that I don't need 2 buckets as they suggest- I just put air holes all around body of bucket except for last 2 inches on bottom, (NONE on bottom) so it naturally holds a small reservoir of water in the bottom 2inches. No root rot occurs bc it is used up to quickly. NO need to buy the buckets: most restaurants that use pickles have them and most bakeries have something similar

  • @dayspeace hello again, hope you are able to find my tomato gardening videos from this year, just got done packing up my bucket green house for the season one more vid this year, link description ,may be ;) thnx for watching

  • @MsWaxqueen sorry to here about your garden but here in 2011 , I am all about science of growing plants, so i use science to its fullest, I hope your garden turns out better next year, dont forget to amend your dirt with the proper chemicals lic calcium, as we call it in the present day ,your age group might refer to as crushed sea shells if you have several growing seasons to waste waiting for it to naturally absorb and turn the dirt to soil. This will also help with YOUR blossom end rot.
