WHO'S THAT BASS PLAYER?
-
Albert King is one of the few blues legends that Clapton never tried to mess with live! He was smart enough to know he wasn't in his league!

5:11 !!!! I was told to look for a bass solo. Lord was it ever worth it. Hot!!!!

nothing to say but GREAT/MAGIC real stuff!
-
He used alternate tunings because he played the guitar upside down. If you look closely you will see the bass strings on the bottom!

The "real" King of the Blues!!!

great playing by Albert... but question.. why is it when stringed instruments play with brass instruments ... the brass instruments are never tuned to the guitar? while im sure they are all playing in the same "key" the "pitch" seems horribly off here... either Albert is too sharp or the brass is just too flat.... I'm thinking its the latter

like a diver coming up to fast ,,Al will give you the bendzzzz.sound like hes got the phazer on..Ive seen him 3 times once when he was mad at the sound man the band and anyone that looked at him wrong!but he"ll always please!!god rest you mr.king.

All blues players need to hear this, it's not how many notes you play, it's the energy you direct with the notes you do play. Albert King plays the same licks over and over, and yet when that left-hand thumb strikes those strings, you know immediately there's something special about his playing. B.B. King, Albert King, Albert Collins, same idea, they can both tell a story with 2 or 3 notes, and make show-off fast guitar players look like kids.
