I put a stem of basil in a bottle of water on the window sill and it has white roots. What's going to happen? Will it continue to grow new leaves? I'd really appreciate a response if you can,thank you so much.

Sometimes basil will root in plain water. You can pot it up in good soil, put in a sunny window and it should grow, but the flavor won't be as intense as if it's grown outside. Awesome!

Your great and have been a big help. I just went out and harvested a bunch of tomatos. I froze them as you showed and am excited about seeing the results this winter.

i actolly store my basil in a tupaware with a most napkin on the bottom and top it ussaly lasts about a week

I tried doing what you said and my basil still only lasted about 2 days and wilted. Would putting a plastic bag over the basil work to keep the temperature around the leaves at a constant state perhaps?
