@GeeChaaBoom No they're not. I'm a pageant girl and have been since I was two. I'm not 'self conscious' I'm happy with how I look and who I am and I have a lot of confidence thanks to pageants. And no our parents don't do that, sweet cheeks. What you see is an editied video of pageants. Go to one yourself or in fact participate in one. They're great fun and teach good life skills.

@GoGoGadgetBeer While a few of my pageant friends have had children at a young age, those that did graduated high school before having their children. I have had more friends from my youth soccer teams become teen mothers than glitz pageant friends. I figured you might like a reference.

i also do not have a good opinion of these exploitations of children aka child beauty pageants. go to google and do a search with the following 4 words: keri britney cambell botox. too much emphasis these days on ones physical beauty and it seems none is on the inner natural beauty. little girls are being pushed to look and act like a mature woman. they have the rest of their life to be that but only a limited time to be a child. the pageant kgirls look like a they are in a ho training course.

@givebackmycookie They are kids. Pageants are just a hobby that we do 1-2 days a month - if that. The makeup is stage makeup otherwise your face looks washed out of stage. They're fun and teach good life skills. And btw there's no definition of a 'kid'.
